Focus On: Heilman’s Nuts & Confections
From the old bones of a remodeled Sinclair gas station, Heilman’s Nuts & Confections has been serving the Kalamazoo community with delightful treats since 1988. Carefully curated nuts from the US and Brazil are roasted on the premises, and a wide selection of handmade white, milk, and dark chocolates fill several glass cases.

With their love of year-round entertaining and lakefront activities, the homeowners of this Gourdneck Lake home focused on making the most of their outdoor and indoor spaces with a renovation by TC Scott Construction.

Both Visbeen and Sperling credit the homeowner with being instrumental in the design of the house as well as its interior finishes. From the crisscross brass inserts from the UK to the curved corners wrapped in tall wainscoting that soften the edges of a narrow passageway to the lamps and other décor, she brought it all together.
Focus On: Eagle Street Market
Eagle Street Market in the heart of downtown South Haven is the answer to any antique shopper’s dream. This giant indoor market spans 9,500 square feet and is home to more than 50 antique vendors. Fittingly, the building itself is more than 100 years old and was one of the first Ford dealerships in the state.
Lest We Forget, Inc.
We dream of a world where we give peace a chance, of a future where we fight no more wars. But the wars of our history must not be forgotten – their legacies are too important, their personal sacrifices too great. "To brighten the future, we must illuminate the past" is the operating principle of Lest We Forget, a nonprofit association established by a group of veterans.

Cathy had a very specific vision for the look and feel of the home, inside and out. This vision included stunning eye appeal from both the front and the lake side of the house. Throughout the project, the McCormicks were able to work with Roberts and his team, onsite and from afar, to bring every detail to fruition.
