Focus On: Genesee Cut Stone and Marble Co.

Genesee Cut Stone and  Marble Co. will soon celebrate 70 years of providing customers with stunning countertops, vanities, bars and more. Their artisans expertly fabricate natural and man-made stone products that make their client’s dreams come true. From marble, quartzite, granite, limestone and quartz, they have one of the largest selections of stone products in the Midwest.

Managing partner, Bob Paul, has been with Genesee Cut Stone for 30 years. He says that when a client comes in, they first sit down to discuss the project. They not only review the project and their client’s needs but also their wants, to determine what product will best fit them.

In recent years, quartz has taken the lead as the company’s most requested stone product. The man-made, 92% natural, manually formed process results in a consistent pattern and color from slab to slab. Quartz is stronger than natural stone, scratch and stain resistant, and very resilient. Because of its durability and impressive range of colors and patterns, it’s an exceptional product for a busy household and an office setting.

In 2022, Genesee Cut Stone added a new product that has been well received. Vetrazzo is created from recycled glass, made in the USA, and has a look like no other. The glass is set in a cement binder and can be made with everything from Skyy Vodka bottles to art glass production overruns, wine and beer bottles or any kind of discarded glass. Each Vetrazzo slab is a unique, artisan-made product, where the glass is placed by hand to ensure a uniform surface. Bringing Vetrazzo into the Genesee Cut Stone product line has allowed them to present an environmentally friendly product that many customers are looking for, but also a product that is durable and offers a truly unique look and feel.

Genesee Cut Stone and Marble welcomes homeowners to visit their showrooms and browse their extensive selection of products. The staff works with architects, designers and homeowners to make sure they fully understand the options available and how the process works.

“What makes us different from other stone fabricators is that we have spent 70 years creating longstanding, trusting relationships with producers and quarries from all over the world,” Paul says. This allows us to present the absolute best in quality, color and style.”

Genesee Cut Stone has their main office, a 5,000-square-foot showroom, and a 50,000-square-foot fabrication plant in Grand Blanc, with another showroom located in Traverse City. They serve the entire state of Michigan and much of the Midwest. Visit the website for hours or simply give them a call to make an appointment with one of their experts.
