LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year. Not only are the colors in Michigan amazing, but the agriculture and vineyards are alive and abundant. Our Autumn 2014 issue is filled with Michigan agriculture and recipes to make with its plentiful produce, and a deeper look into Michigan dairy.
What seems like the end to a season is a start to many. With school starting up again, everyone getting back into their normal routine, and eventually gasp! heading back indoors, it's a great time for DIY projects and remodeling. Learn how to make your own candles on a cool autumn night, or read Tylor Devereaux's Move Out Makeover interview on how to give your high school senior a sweet sendoff, and still make them feel welcome when they come home.
As always, while you're sitting by the fire winding down from another busy week, feel rejuvenated while looking at the amazing homes we have in this issue. Lake views, cottage comfort, and unbelievable transformations will leave you inspired and ready to start your remodel come spring.
Before we get ahead of ourselves and wish away one of the defining features of our beautiful state, I encourage you to embrace Michigan's autumn season its colors, its wineries, its produce, and its events around the state. And with the flip of a page, it all starts here.
